Koizumi, Vajpayee issue joint declaration
TOKYO, Japan - Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi (R), clad in ethnic Indian clothes, and Indian Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee hold a news conference at Koizumi's official residence in Tokyo on Dec. 10 after issuing a joint declaration on their talks the same day. The two leaders agreed to boost bilateral ties by promoting strategic and economic cooperation, and to continue joint efforts in the global fight against terrorism and in eliminating nuclear weapons.
