Takahashi 6th in Nordic combined World Cup sprint
REIT IM WINKL, Germany - Daito Takahashi, who has been named to the Japanese team for February's Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, matches his career best on the World Cup circuit Jan. 3 when he finished sixth in the Nordic combined sprint event at Reit im Winkl. He placed sixth after a 90.5-meter leap in the K-90 ski jumping portion and retained his position in the 7.5-kilometer cross country race for his fourth top-10 finish of the season.
