NEW YORK, United States - At least four major league teams -- the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Seattle Mariners, the New York Mets and the Cleveland Indians -- are expected to make bids to acquire Japanese free agent pitcher Kazuhisa Ishii (pictured in file photo), the U.S. sports cable network ESPN reported Jan. 3. The Dallas Morning News said the Rangers are casting their sights on both Ishii and Orix BlueWave outfielder So Taguchi.

Suzuki arrives in U.S. for 1st season in major leagues

SEATTLE, United States - Former Orix BlueWave outfielder Ichiro Suzuki talks to reporters at Tacoma International Airport in Seattle on Jan. 9 ahead of his first season in the major leagues with the Seattle Mariners.
