Ogata meets Koizumi after trip to Afghanistan
TOKYO, Japan - Sadako Ogata, Japan's special envoy on Afghan affairs, is surrounded by reporters at the prime minister's official residence Jan. 17 after meeting with Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi. The former U.N. high commissioner for refugees met Koizumi after a trip to Afghanistan to prepare for a Tokyo conference on reconstructing Afghanistan next week.
