Afghan NGOs should directly receive int'l aid: Japan NGO

TOKYO, Japan - A member of a Japanese nongovernmental organization (NGO) hands a report to Sadako Ogata (R), Japan's special envoy for Afghanistan, on Jan. 19 calling on her to enable Afghan NGOs to directly receive international donations for the country's reconstruction. He met Ogata at a Tokyo hotel prior to a two-day ministerial meeting, to be co-chaired by Ogata, on the reconstruction of Afghanistan to be convened Jan. 21 in Tokyo.
