Oki becomes environment minister
TOKYO, Japan - New Environment Minister Hiroshi Oki is surrounded by reporters at the prime minister's official residence in Tokyo on Feb. 8 after formally being named head of the Environment Ministry by Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi. Oki took over the post from Yoriko Kawaguchi, who replaced Foreign Minister Makiko Tanaka Feb. 1.
