Okinawa pref. office put off-limits after staff brings shells

NAHA, Japan - An official of the Ground Self-Defense Force loads shells into a truck in front of the Okinawa prefectural government building in Naha on Feb. 16. An unidentified government employee took the three 50-centimeter-long shells, apparently used by U.S. forces during World War II, to an office on the 10th floor of the building earlier in the day after he recovered the shells in the sea off Naha during a fisheries survey.
