'Spirited Away' director cherishes top prize at Berlin fete

TOKYO, Japan - Japanese film director Hayao Miyazaki bears a broad smile Feb. 19, holding in his hands the top prize he won in the just-concluded Berlin Film Festival for his animated film ''Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi (Spirited Away)''. In a news conference at a Tokyo hotel, Miyazaki was handed the trophy for the festival's Golden Bear award, which his film shared with a British-Irish film, and remarked, ''It is heavy.''
