Tokushima Gov. Endo denies involvement in bribery case
TOKUSHIMA, Japan - Tokushima Gov. Toshio Endo speaks to reporters in Tokushima City on March 2, denying allegations he received bribes from the president of a Tokyo-based consulting firm who is currently facing charges of involvement in a corruption case in Ibaraki Prefecture. Mitsuro Ozaki, president of Gyosai Toshi Kaihatsu Kenkyujo, is believed to have paid an aide to Endo, 58, about 3 million yen in relation to a public works project to construct a prefectural facility, a major daily said.
