Toyota eyes 5% share of European market

NAGOYA, Japan - Fujio Cho, president of Toyota Motor Corp., says in an interview with Kyodo News on April 3 that Toyota hopes to gain a 5% share of the European auto market in the next three years, up from 3% currently. ''By 2005 we want to sell 800,000 vehicles, raising the share to 5%,'' Cho said.
