Upper house head Inoue to resign over kickback scandal
TOKYO, Japan - House of Councillors President Yutaka Inoue (file photo) has decided to resign over allegations that his policy secretary received 64 million yen in kickbacks from a construction company in connection with a public works project, a senior member of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party said April 19. Inoue has denied the allegations.
