U.N. medal given to relatives of 2 slain peacekeepers
TOKYO, Japan - The Dag Hammarskjold Medal, a U.N. medal, was awarded April 22 to relatives of two Japanese killed during peacekeeping operations in Cambodia in 1993. Takehito Nakata (R), holding the photo of his dead son Atsuhito and the Dag Hammarskjold Medal in his hands, and Reiko Takada (C), the wife of the other deceased Japanese, Haruyuki Takada, pose with Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi (L) at the premier's official residence.
