63-yr-old Japanese becomes oldest woman to climb Everest

TOKYO, Japan - Tamae Watanabe, 63, a resident of Yokohama, is seen in this photo taken on May 9 at a base camp on Mt. Everest. Watanabe reached the summit of the 8,850-meter mountain at 9:55 a.m. on May 16, becoming the oldest woman to climb the world's highest mountain.
