Narita airport under tighter security

NARITA, Japan - Police set up a special security unit consisting of about 3,000 officers at Narita airport, Japan's largest international gateway, as part of efforts to ensure security ahead of the World Cup soccer finals. The police deployed officers with shields and dogs at the airport as a measure to counter terrorism and deal with any disorder during the arrival of foreign soccer fans. (2002 World Cup)
