1 woman dies, 11 others sickened from Chinese diet aids

TOKYO, Japan - The Health, Labor and Welfare Ministry on July 12 releases the names of two Chinese diet aids (photo) imported from China linked to one death and development of liver disorders in 11 others. The women who died was taking one of the two products available through the Internet. The ministry also warned against another Chinese diet aid, but did not release the name as it cannot establish a clear link between the symptoms reported and the product.
