Matoyama connects to drive in run in Japanese all-star game
MATSUYAMA, Japan - Kintetsu Buffaloes' catcher Tetsuya Matoyama connects for an RBI single in the second inning of the Japanese professional baseball all-star game at Botchan Stadium in Ehime Prefecture on July 13. Matoyama was named the most valuable player of the game won by the Pacific League all-stars 4-2 over the Central League.
