Hitachi begins marketing world's 1st liquid-cooled PC

TOKYO, Japan - Hitachi Ltd. said July 17 it has begun marketing what it calls the world's first liquid-cooled notebook personal computer (in handout photo). The Flora 270W Silent Model circulates a liquid coolant through a series of tubes inside to dissipate heat from a high-speed microprocessor. The PC with reduced noise is quiet and good for use in libraries, hospitals and educational institutions, Hitachi said.
