A-bomb survivor from Brazil seeks medical care
HIROSHIMA, Japan - Shunji Mukai, a survivor of the 1945 atomic bombing of Hiroshima who lives in Brazil, on Aug. 3 urges the Japanese government to guarantee the provision of medical care to victims living outside Japan. ''We are also A-bomb victims. I hope the Japanese government will provide us with medical treatment even in Brazil,'' Mukai, 72, said at an international conference held by the Japan Council Against A and H Bombs (Gensuikyo) in Hiroshima.
