S. Koreans go to polls in parliamentary by-elections
SEOUL, South Korea - Park Shin, a candidate of the opposition Grand National Party (GNP), casts his vote with his wife at a poll station in downtown Seoul on Aug. 8. Voters in the capital and across the nation went to the polls to fill 13 vacant seats in the 273-member National Assembly in by-elections widely seen as a key test of voter sentiment ahead of the December presidential election.
