Japan diverted Allied funds from secret accounts: documents
GENEVA, Switzerland - Swiss documents obtained by Kyodo News show that the United States, Britain and the Netherlands poured 115 million Swiss francs intended mainly for Allied prisoners of war into secret Japanese bank accounts at Swiss National Bank during the last year of World War II, but Japan diverted much of the money.
