(2)U.S. nuclear-powered aircraft carrier stops over in Sasebo
SASEBO, Japan - The U.S. nuclear-powered aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln sails toward Sasebo port, in western Kyushu, on Aug. 16, escorted by Japan Coast Guard patrol boats. The 102,000-ton Nimitz-class vessel, with about 5,350 crew members aboard, made a stopover in Sasebo port, Nagasaki Prefecture, en route to operations in the Middle East.
