Pear harvesting begins in Tottori
TOTTORI, Japan - An unidentified farmer and his wife look at the ''Nijusseiki (20th century)'' variety of pears at their farm in Togo, Tottori Prefecture, before they begin harvesting them Aug. 21. He said that this year's crop is sweeter than average thanks to a long spell of fine weather.
