NIIGATA, Japan - Tomoe Terakoshi (2nd from L) waves a handkerchief at her relatives as she leaves the port of Niigata on a freighter Aug. 21 for North Korea to see her son Takeshi Terakoshi, who went missing while fishing in the Sea of Japan in 1963 and now lives in Pyongyang.
