Koizumi picks Ikuta as 1st head of new postal corp.

TOKYO, Japan - Masaharu Ikuta, chairman of Mitsui O.S.K. Lines Ltd., is surrounded by reporters at the prime minister's office in Tokyo on Aug. 26 after being picked by Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi to become the first head of a new public corporation to be set up by next April to run the nation's postal services.
