JAL, JAS unify operations under holding company
TOKYO, Japan - Women work at a newly-opened JAL group counter at Tokyo's Haneda airport Oct. 2. Japan Airlines (JAL) and Japan Air System (JAS) integrated their operations the same day under a new holding company named Japan Airlines System Corp. to become the world's sixth-largest airline group in terms of passenger miles.
