Ishihara meets White House officials about Yokota base issue
WASHINGTON, United States - Tokyo Gov. Shintaro Ishihara (R) leaves the White House on Oct. 8 after meeting with James Moriarty, senior director for Asian affairs of the White House's National Security Council (NSC), and Michael Green, NSC director for Asian affairs, to discuss converting the U.S. Air Force's Yokota Base in western Tokyo into a joint civilian-military airport.
