China's Haier to sell small washing machine in Japan

TOKYO, Japan - An official from Haier Group Co., China's largest consumer electronics maker, demonstrates in Tokyo on Oct. 30 how to use a small-sized washing machine it will put on the Japanese market on Nov. 1. The automatic washing machine can take laundry of up to 2.3 kilograms and targets such consumers as single-person households. It will likely be sold for an open price of around 19,800 yen.
