Commission submits interim report on Constitution
TOKYO, Japan - A majority of members of the Research Commission on the Constitution at the House of Representatives stand to approve the panel's interim report at the Diet in Tokyo on Nov. 1. The 706-page report shows that a large number of lawmakers favor amending Article 9 -- the war-renouncing clause that says Japan will not maintain any military potential.
