Court rules voting system unconstitutional
TOKYO, Japan - People supporting patients suffering from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), or Lou Gehrig's disease, enter the Tokyo District Court on Nov. 28. The court ruled that the government's refusal to accept mail-in votes written on behalf of physically disabled patients who cannot write themselves violates their voting rights and is unconstitutional.
