DPJ's Hatoyama may resign by Dec. 13

TOKYO, Japan - Yukio Hatoyama (R), president of the main opposition Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ), meets Ichiro Ozawa, leader of the Liberal Party (LP), at the LP headquarters in Tokyo on Nov. 29 to discuss future cooperation among opposition parties. Hatoyama indicated he may step down by the Dec. 13 end of the current parliamentary session as calls for his resignation grow even among party colleagues.
