Shinkansen service extended to Aomori Pref.+

TOKYO, Japan - The bullet train Hayate leaves JR Tokyo Station for Hachinohe, Aomori Prefecture, at 6:56 a.m. on Dec. 1. The Tohoku Shinkansen line was extended from the previous northernmost terminus in Morioka, Iwate Prefecture, to Hachinohe. Passengers can now reach Hachinohe from Tokyo in two hours and 56 minutes.
