Hatoyama likely to quit as DPJ leader this week
KOBE, Japan - Yukio Hatoyama, president of the leading opposition Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ), makes a speech at a meeting of its Hyogo prefectural chapter at a hotel in Kobe's Chuo Ward on Dec. 2. amid spreading rumors that he may resign for causing disruption within the DPJ over his reported proposal to form a new party.
