Unitika, YKK jointly devise biodegradable velcro strap

TOKYO, Japan - Textile manufacturer Unitika Ltd. and fastener producer YKK Corp. said Dec. 4 they have developed a velcro strap (photo) that dissolves in the ground. The biodegradable velcro strap is the first ever developed and will be put on the market in January, the two companies said.
