MANILA, Philippines - One of 36 Filipinos claiming to be victims of toxic waste contamination shows his back after asking a U.S. court to order the U.S. government to inspect its former air and naval bases in the Philippines. The Manila-based People Task Force for Bases Cleanup, a group supporting the Filipinos, said Dec. 5 the case was brought before the U.S. Federal District Court in San Jose, California, on Dec. 3 against the U.S. Air Force and Navy.
