N. Korean spy ship same one that ran drugs, Ogi says
TOKYO, Japan - A salvaged North Korean spy ship (in photo taken in September) appears to be the same ship that was suspected of being used for drug trafficking in the East China Sea in 1998, Land, Infrastructure and Transport Minister Chikage Ogi said Dec. 6. The ship, which sank in the East China Sea last December after exchanging fire with Japan Coast Guard vessels, was raised by the coast guard and towed to Japan in September for examination.
