Armitage says U.S. hopes to find solution for Soga's husband
TOKYO, Japan - U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage outside the prime minister's office in Tokyo on Dec. 9 after meeting Chief Cabinet Secretary Yasuo Fukuda there. He reportedly told Fukuda the United States hopes to find a solution in the case of Charles Jenkins, the American husband in North Korea of Hitomi Soga. Jenkins faces charges of desertion from the U.S. Army if he comes to Japan.
