'Ice restaurant' to open in Nyukawa

GIFU, Japan - A restaurant whose walls, floor, chairs and tables are made of blocks of ice will open in the village of Nyukawa, Gifu Prefecture in central Japan, on Dec. 24. The 'ice restaurant,' located in the grounds of a hotel near the Hoonogidaira ski resort, is made of some 650 ice blocks, each of which is 40 centimeters high, 70 cm wide and 20 cm thick.
