Soga believes mother still alive and waiting to meet

MANO, Japan - Hitomi Soga, one of five Japanese abducted to North Korea in 1978 and now back in Japan, reads out a statement at a news conference at the office of the Mano municipal government on the Sado Island in Niigata Prefecture on Dec. 28.
