'Ice mushrooms' appear on Hokkaido lake

KUSHIRO, Japan - ''Ice mushrooms'' appear in Nukabira Lake in Hokkaido. The ''mushrooms'' form when the water level in the lake drops, leaving ice on the stumps of trees that were felled when a dam was constructed.
