N. Korea makes conditions for ending nuclear standoff

BEIJING, China - North Korean Ambassador to China Choe Jin Su speaks in an exclusive interview with Kyodo News in Beijing on Jan. 18. Choe said that the diplomatic standoff over North Korea's nuclear program can be solved through dialog if the United States pledges not to invade the North. He added two other conditions are that Washington recognize North Korean sovereignty and does not impede the North's economic development.
