1 more held for allegedly selling fake Oakley glasses

NAGOYA, Japan - Photo shows fake Oakley sunglasses which police confiscated from Megumi Kuwata, a Hyogo Prefecture woman, Jan. 21. Police said Kuwata, who has been arrested, had conspired with a couple in the same prefecture to sell the sunglasses on an Internet auction site. Oakley sunglasses are worn by famous athletes such as Ichiro Suzuki of the Seattle Mariners and Japan midfielder Hidetoshi Nakata.

    NAGOYA, Japan - A couple in Hyogo Prefecture were arrested Jan. 15 for allegedly selling fake ''Ichiro-model'' sunglasses (in photo taken at a Nagoya police station) on an Internet auction site. Police suspect that the couple violated the trademark law by posting an advertisement on the auction site, saying they were offering Oakley-brand sunglasses worn regularly by Ichiro Suzuki of the Seattle Mariners.
