Former Japan midfielder Kitazawa calls it quits
TOKYO, Japan - Former Japan midfielder Tsuyoshi Kitazawa holds a bunch of flowers at a news conference at Tokyo Verdy's clubhouse in Inagi, southwestern Tokyo, on Jan. 28 to announce his retirement. Kitazawa made his J-League debut for Verdy, then known as Verdy Kawasaki, in the league's inaugural season in 1993.
