(1)Okimi town assembly rejects offering island for U.S. drills
OKIMI, Japan - The town assembly of Okimi, Hiroshima Prefecture, decided Feb. 3 to reject the mayor's plan to offer the town's uninhabited Okurokamishima Island in the Seto Inland Sea as an alternative site for U.S. night landing practice by warplanes from the U.S. aircraft carrier Kitty Hawk.
