N. Korean defectors' group seeks Japanese gov't support
TOKYO, Japan - A representative of the Society of Escapees from North Korea in Japan who goes by the alias Kenki Aoyama reads a statement at a news conference at the Foreign Correspondents Club of Japan in Tokyo on Feb. 5. Members of the group have asked the government to recognize their refugee status and provide them with protection and support. Aoyama wore sunglasses and a mask to conceal his identity.
