Communist Party chief Fuwa to retire from politics

TOKYO, Japan - Tetsuzo Fuwa (file photo), chairman of the Japanese Communist Party's (JCP) Central Committee, will not be running in the next general election, the party announced Feb. 14. The announcement suggests Fuwa, 73, will effectively retire from politics, party sources said.
