Toho to buy Virgin Cinemas Japan

TOKYO, Japan - Isao Matsuoka (L), president of major movie distributor Toho Co., and Simon Wright, president of Virgin Cinemas Co., a Tokyo-based operator of cinema complexes, shake hands at a news conference at a hotel in Tokyo's Chiyoda Ward on Feb. 25. They announced that Toho will buy all shares in Virgin Cinemas, known as Virgin Cinemas Japan, for some 10 billion yen.
