(1)17th century heritage hall at Nara temple damaged
NARA, Japan - The 350-year-old main hall of Hasedera temple in Sakurai, Nara Prefecture, stands damaged by a falling tree on March 5. The prefectural board of education said that the hall, designated by the government as an important cultural asset, suffered partial damage when the tree fell after rain had loosened the soil.
