SHIGA KOGEN, Japan - Kalle Palander of Finland tied for first with Austria's Rainer Schoenfelder at an Alpine skiing World Cup slalom race at Shiga Kogen in Nagano Prefecture March 8 to claim his fourth consecutive World Cup slalom victory. Both men finished in a dead heat of 1 minute 41.14 seconds.
