Next BOJ chief Fukui vows to combat deflation
TOKYO, Japan - Toshihiko Fukui (L), designated the next governor of the Bank of Japan (BOJ), testifies at a House of Representatives Financial Affairs Committee session March 18, flanked by Kazumasa Iwata (2nd from L) and Toshiro Muto (R), both designated as deputy governors. Fukui suggested he will do his utmost to fight deflation and pull Japan out of its long economic doldrums.
