(1)WHO team wants SARS inspection in Beijing

BEIJING, China - Members of a World Health Organization (WHO) team tells a news conference in Beijing on April 9 it wants to investigate the situation of the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) after a Beijing doctor accused officials of covering up the true patient number to avoid public panic. The WHO team returned on April 8 from an inspection of Guangdong Province, where it members agreed with Chinese health officials that the spread of the disease is under control.
